NON-STAINING ANTIOXIDANT (2.2'-methylenebis-(4-methyl-6-tertiary-butylphenol))

CHARACTERISTICS:

Description: Westco AO-2246 is a highly effective non-staining non-discoloring phenolic antioxidant. Applications: Westco AO-2246 can be used as the primary stabilizer in a wide range of synthetic elastomers including polybutadiene, styrene-butadiene, neoprene, butyl, halobutyl and nitrile rubber. WESTCO AO-2246 is highly recommended for use in natural and synthetic latex rubber, latex products, caulks, sealants, and adhesives. WESTCO AO-2246 can be used in thermoplastic elastomers, polyurethane foams, engineering resins, ABS, and is recommended for evaluation in all clear, white or light-colored polymeric systems requiring protection against oxidation. FDA Status: Regulated for use under 21CFR:177.2600 for rubber and plastic articles that come in to contact with foodstuff. Westco AO-2246 also complies with 175.105 and has some other permitted uses by cross-reference from 178.2010 to selected polyolefins-177.1520 and polyoxymethylene systems-177.2470 and 177.2480. Storage: WESTCO AO-2246 is stable over long periods of time when stored under normal conditions and in the original containers. If discoloration does develop, antioxidant properties or color of the finished product will not be affected.

STORAGE:
