Recommendations for Application:
Zinc Stearate BD
is used by the rubber industry as an effective
elastomers processing aid and releasing agent. The
low chloride content allows for complete product
dispersion in elastomers with low cure temperatures.
The low chloride
content and clear melt properties of Zinc Stearate
BD meet the quality processing demands of
polyolefin, polystyrene and polyester manufacture.
Superior lubrication properties reduce the required
injection pressure for fabricated parts. This
results in higher art quality and reduced energy
costs.
Zinc Stearate BD is
used extensively in sanding sealers. It performs the
dual function of weakening the film to make it
easier to sand and lubricating the sandpaper to
prevent it from gumming up.
