CHARACTERISTICS:
NOCHEK® 4607 is a blend of specially selected petroleum
waxes, recommended for use as an antiozonant in
rubber. Specific gravity 0.92.
NOCHEK® 4607 is highly
effective in natural and synthetic rubbers for the
prevention of surface cracking and weathering due to
ozone in the atmosphere. It has been found to
have excellent performance under a wide range of
climatic conditions. Because of its controlled
rate of bloom to the surface of the rubber compound,
NOCHEK® 4607 is very effective under
prolonged exposure.
NOCHEK® 4607 is available
in free-flowing granular form and is easily
dispersible into the rubber compound. It also
acts as a processing aid, being effective as a
lubricant and as a mold release agent. In
addition, because it is non-staining it is
especially suitable in light colored compounds such
as those for white side walls in tires.
TYPICAL USES: Rubber tires / Industrial and automotive rubber goods /
Wire and cable insulation
FDA STATUS: This product meets the FDA
requirements set forth in 21 CFR 178.3710 for use in
